See notifications and search project activity
You now have three ways to follow project work. The bell shows what concerns you directly, the dashboard activity stream shows recent project events, and the activity view brings together searchable updates from every project you can access.
Use the bell for items that need your attention, the dashboard for a quick overview, and the activity view when you want to search, filter, or open an earlier event.
What’s new
Project notifications
The notification list shows when someone mentions you, assigns you a task, or adds you to or removes you from a project.
- The number beside the bell shows how many of these notifications you have not read.
- Opening the bell shows up to eight of the latest notifications.
Activity across all projects
The activity view shows searchable updates from every project you can access, including events that are not in the notification list. Search titles, names, and messages to find the relevant task, discussion, or project.
- Select “View all activity” in the notification list to open the activity view. Search titles, person names, and messages, or filter by project, person, activity type, and date. You can also select projects where you are the project manager or a member, or show your favorite projects.
- You can show only unread events or events where someone mentioned you.
- Each row shows what happened, who did it, which project it belongs to, and when it happened. Select a row to open the relevant task, discussion, or project.
Activity on the dashboard
The dashboard activity stream shows recent project events without requiring you to open the activity view.
- The dashboard and activity view show the same project events. In the activity view, you can save a filter for use on the dashboard.
- The filters you selected on the dashboard remain active when you open the activity view.
Improvements
- More events load as you scroll.
Fixed bugs
Project activity and notifications
- Marking one event as read does not affect other events in the same project.
- “Mark all as read” applies only to the events counted in the number beside the bell. Older project history is not affected.
- On smaller screens, details about the event, person, project, and time appear across several rows. You can scroll the filter menu when its options do not fit.
- The mention marker appears only when someone mentioned you.
You can open the full activity view from Projects > Activity.
