Show Year Wheels in Outlook and close finished projects

You can now subscribe to a Year Wheel in Outlook and other calendar apps. When the work is done, you can close the project. The project list shows which projects have active timers and who is tracking time.

The new feedback portal lets you submit and vote on suggestions. Calendar events can be linked to projects, milestones, or tasks, the news view can be filtered by author and date, and checklist reports have more sorting and filtering options.

What’s new

Feedback

  • At feedback.ampliflow.com, you can suggest new features, see what other customers ask for, vote on ideas, and follow how we handle the suggestions.

Year Wheels and connected calendars

  • Year Wheels can be published as an .ics link that anyone with the link can subscribe to. Owners and editors can copy the link from the menu or unpublish the Year Wheel to disable the existing link.
  • A connected calendar can now link an event to the project, milestone, or task where the time should be reported. This works for recurring meetings and other planned activities.

Projects

  • Projects now have a closed status. Lists, cards, tables, filters, and status badges use the same rule, and the quick filter hides closed projects without hiding other completed states.
  • The “People working now” filter shows projects with active timers. Users with timesheet access can see who is tracking time in those projects.
  • People with read access to a project task or discussion can now comment without receiving broader edit access.

Improvements

Timesheets and connected calendars

  • Suggested and manually added timesheet rows are saved when you change week or reload the page. When you record time on a saved row, its draft is removed so the row does not return as a duplicate.
  • Comment fields are disabled for rows with no time entries, so it is clear when a comment can be saved.

News

  • The news view now has author filters, date-range filters, and sorting for publish and expiry dates. Mandatory news now shows more clearly whether you are actually targeted, and images inside news content can be opened in a preview.

Projects

  • The project Tasks tab badge now shows open tasks and open milestones instead of all tasks. This gives a better picture of how much work remains.
  • The like marker in discussions now shows who liked the message when you hover over the heart.
  • The quick-add field shows a spinner while the task is being created.
  • Collapsed milestones now show an unread-comment counter instead of a single orange marker.
  • You can still reorder projects while filters are active. Timeline headings remain visible as you scroll, and archived projects open in the archive.

Year Wheels

  • Labels on the lower half of a Year Wheel now face the right direction. Activities that repeat on, for example, the first or fourth Friday appear closer to the correct date in the month.

Checklists and reports

  • Checklist reports have better sorting and filtering, including multiple sort columns, date filters, and nested filters.

Fixed bugs

Projects

  • When you reorder project tasks by dragging them, the order is saved even with filters on, hidden rows, or moves within the same milestone.
  • Milestone due dates now show correctly when you edit and can be cleared again.
  • Tasks in draft projects no longer appear in the shared task list.
  • The goals card in the top navigation now shows the highest goal you actually have access to, even when you cannot see the parent goal.
  • When you highlight or drag project tasks, they align better, and the dividers are clearer when you move the pointer over them.

News

  • News statistics show a clear message when everyone has read, instead of an empty list.
  • The list of dismissed news now shows the right person.

Connected calendars

  • Custom appearance settings in the calendar timeline now display correctly.
  • The matching-rule form stays open if saving fails, so you can fix the error without starting over.

Lists and tables

  • Table cells now have the correct height and spacing in Zen Browser, a Firefox-based browser.
