Break the myth: ISO 9001 isn't about documentation, it's about improving businesses

ISO 9001 can often be misconstrued as a mass of documentation. But is that really the way it is?

The answer is a resounding NO!

Improving operations

ISO 9001:2015 is about improving the company’s processes and operations (Clauses 4.4 and 10). And yes, although documentation is part of the process (Clauses 4.4.2 and 7.5), modern tools have simplified the whole thing.

With today’s technology, the working tools themselves can become the documentation.

This means that you no longer have to write a lot of documents. Instead, the work tools you use in your daily work become a living documentation of your processes.

Focus on customer needs

ISO 9001:2015 is about focusing on customer needs and delivering products and services that meet them in the best way (Clause 5.1.2). It is about creating a culture of continuous improvement (Clause 10.3), improving company processes (Clause 4.4) and engaging employees (Clause 0.2 and 5.1.1).

So let’s break the myth and embrace the true value of ISO 9001.

Certification isn’t just about documentation - it’s a powerful tool to make your business better!Share this with your colleagues and friends and help spread the word about the true value of ISO 9001!
